Gracemount Church is great for families, with most of our activities accessible to both children and adults. On Sundays all ages stay together for the first half of our service to sing a couple of songs, listen to faith stories and watch a short cartoon video clip. After this, children who are primary-school-aged or younger are invited to join our Sunday Buddies in the school dining hall for their own special service with age-appropriate stories, games and crafts.
In association with Gracemount Primary School we also run a Homework Club every Thursday during term time. Our volunteer leaders devote their time to helping kids identified by the school as those who could most benefit from a little extra support with their homework. But it’s not just about school work – our leaders also take the time to listen, to talk and to play board games with the children.
The Safety of your Child
There is nothing more important to us than the safety of your child. Before working with young people our volunteer leaders are required to undergo a PVG Scheme check from Disclosure Scotland. All our children’s work is done in accordance with the safeguarding policy of the Church of Scotland.
