2020 Vision

Our 2020 Vision is “To reinstate a Physical Missional Presence in the Heart of the Gracemount Community.”

This is a 3-phase vision looking at:

  1. Culture & Infrastructure
  2. Community & Mission
  3. Land & Buildings

In phase one, culture & infrastructure, we thought about who we are and what we do, and about how we look after and use the resources God has given us – our people, our money and our building.

Phase two, community & mission, began when we renamed Kaimes Lockhart Memorial Church as Gracemount Church – check out our new logo at the top of the page. Gracemount Church might be small but we want to make a difference in our community, and to tell people the good news about what Jesus has done for them. We also hope to have some fun family events on our land on Gracemount Drive.

In phase three, land & buildings, we’re planning to build a new Church and Community building on our land on Gracemount Drive with café space and multipurpose hall. Over the last year we’ve been very busy renovating our Church House on Lasswade Road, and we hope the proceeds from its sale will cover the majority of the build costs. You may also have seen us working on the church land – it’s been derelict for way too long and a fly-tipping hotspot. We’re sorry that you’ve had to put up with that, but hopefully we can afford to look after the land going forward!
